By downloading or using CarWash Day ("the app"), you agree to these terms. They are short, and we have tried to keep them in plain English.
CarWash Day turns third-party weather forecast data (WeatherAPI.com) into practical advice about washing a car. It answers two separate questions: whether the hours ahead suit the wash itself, and what the weather looks like afterwards, once you have finished. Everything it shows is a reading of a forecast about the weather, and not a judgement about your car. The app cannot see how dirty the car is, what is already on the paint, where it is parked, or what your water restrictions allow. Forecasts shift, showers arrive unannounced, and microclimates are real — a car under a tree fares differently from one on an open driveway. Two things follow, and the app says both on screen: a dry forecast is not the same as a clean car, and contamination does not wait for good weather — bird mess, tree sap and the like are best rinsed off when you find them, whatever the forecast says. Decisions about washing your car are yours.

This data should not be used as the sole basis for decisions involving personal safety, aviation, marine navigation, emergency planning, or other safety-critical activities. Always consult official meteorological services and relevant authorities for decisions where accuracy is critical.

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or misrepresent the app or its data as your own. The app's design, code, and content remain the property of Ostapenko Studio.
Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. It permanently removes advertising from the app on devices signed in to the same store account, and can be restored at any time via "Restore purchases" in Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us directly.
The app depends on third-party services (WeatherAPI.com for weather data, your device's location services and notification scheduling) that we do not control. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep the app working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and alerts may occasionally arrive late or not at all if the operating system defers them.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have that cannot lawfully be excluded — under the Australian Consumer Law, and equally under the consumer law of the country you live in, such as the United Kingdom's Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the consumer protection rules of the European Union. Subject to that, the app is provided "as is", and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Ostapenko Studio is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app — including a wash caught in the rain, a car that was rained on soon after being cleaned, or any damage to a vehicle's paint or finish. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to re-supplying the app or paying the cost of re-supply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts. If you live in a country whose consumer-protection law gives you rights that cannot be excluded — including the right to bring proceedings in your own courts — nothing here takes those rights away.
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. We will only change them for a good reason — for example a change in the app's features, in the services it depends on, or in the law. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the app and delete it; that is your remedy, and nothing you have already paid for stops working because you disagree with a change.
